About Coach Cooper
As An Athlete

Todd Cooper was a High School State Champion and a High School All-American. While competing at Baylor University he was a four-time Conference Champion and Conference Record Holder and three-time Collegiate All-American. He was twice voted the Outstanding Baylor University Track and Field athlete of the year. After his collegiate career he continued to vault at a world class level competing internationally and achieving a personal best jump of 18’-9.25”. He competed in two Olympic Trials.
As a Coach

In the past 20 years Coach Cooper has coached at all levels from High School to NCAA Division I. While an assistant coach at Baylor University in charge of Pole Vaulters he coached seven athletes over 17′, three athletes over 18′ and one vaulter over a then NCAA record of 19’-2 ¾” and one vaulter with an indoor NCAA record of 19’8.25.
At the High School level as a coach at Excelsior Springs High School, he coached seven State Champions, six State Champion runner up’s and over 30 other all state jumpers.
Since 1999, Coach Cooper had 60 women and 53 men gold medalists in the state of Missouri. Coach Cooper has also had an additional 304 women and 261 men all state medalists in Missouri. He has coached women gold medalists in Kansas (3), Nebraska (3), Arkansas (2) and Texas (1). Men gold medalists in Kansas number 7 and Nebraska 1. These numbers include repeat wins for individual competitors. Numerous others have gone on to win Conference, District and Sectional Championships. Two have won Collegiate National Championships!

Hannah Cooper Sedgwick Joins Just Vault Coaches

Just Vault is excited to announce that our daughter, Hannah Cooper Sedgwick has joined the coaching staff to provide private lessons. Hannah holds the Missouri High School Girl’s record at 13’3″. She competed at the college level at the University of Missouri and William Jewell College. Hannah has coached at North Liberty High School. After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from William Jewell, Hannah received a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Friends University. She is a Marriage and Family Therapist.
About Just Vault
Purpose
Just Vault was established by Coach Todd Cooper in 1999 to provide personalized, in-depth vaulting instruction. Just Vault provides private lessons as well as personalized individual training (see the calendar). We prefer everyone take at least one private lesson before joining the very popular sessions. Pure beginners may need to take two or three lessons first. Private lessons allow Coach Cooper to evaluate the evaluate the vaulters’ skill level and determine the proper personal individualized training the vaulter should attend.
Private lessons are by appointment only and should be made two weeks in advance. To arrange for a private lesson email or call Coach Cooper at toddcooper@yahoo.com. Private sessions cost $60.00for beginners and last approximately an hour. Payment will be expected for private lessons not cancelled 48 hours in advance, unless there is an emergency.

Policies
All new vaulters must sign a club registration/waiver form before beginning lessons. You may print out a copy from the website or email Coach Cooper and he will have one available at your first lesson.

Take I-35 to Exit 26 Kearney/Excelsior Springs. Go East on Highway 92 5-1/2 miles to County Road RA. Turn left on RA and go 1/2 mile to Louisa Dr. Turn Left on Louisa Dr. Go past second house on right and turn right into gravel Drive. Thats it!
